Walz has repeatedly lied and said that his term was up in 2005. It wasn't. It was up in 2007. But when Walz got the notification that his unit was about to be deployed to Iraq, he quit.

He was asked about this when he first ran for Congress in 2006-- he had no answer for it, and did not dispute the paperwork showing that his term was up in 2007 and that he abruptly quit when served notification that he was about to be mobilized.

I doubt his non-story has improved with age.
