One friend's life was saved by Obamacare because insurance companies refused to sell her insurance. She nearly died of diverticulitis. She ended up in the hospital for over a month because she didn't have insurance and didn't see a doctor when she first started having problems. She didn't have insurance when she was admitted to the hospital and stayed there for over a month. The hospital wasn't obligated to actually cure her problem, and they didn't. All they were legally obligated to do was stabilize her and then refer her to a doctor. It took over a month to stabilize her. She was released and because she didn't have insurance, she couldn't see a doctor for the problem so she went through years of hospitals and near death.
When Obamacare was available and an insurance company would finally take her money and cover her, she was finally able to get the condition actually fixed. Instead of more hospital bills that she couldn't pay, she had insurance and was able to get better so she will be able to finish living a full and healthy life.
Oh, the reason she lost her insurance. She got divorced. A person can stay on their ex's insurance for 3 years through COBRA after that, they're on their own. Because she had a non cancerous cyst removed from her breast in the 80s no insurance would cover her.
Myself and many millions of other Americans will tell you that Obama didn't lie to us.
