The Dems have been pushing steadily against the BBB. They have noted the delayed cuts to the supplement nutrition assistance programs. "Several polls conducted on the Big Beautiful Bill Act have indicated widespread disapproval. The majority of Americans view the bill unfavorably due to concerns over its projected $3.3 trillion addition to the federal deficit over 10 years and potential loss of health coverage for millions. A KFF poll found that 64% of adults
view the bill unfavorably." If two out of three voters are unhappy this year, it will be worse for the GOP next year.

"Six in ten Republicans have a favorable opinion of the bill, but this support is largely driven by supporters of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, while two-thirds of non-MAGA Republicans view the bill unfavorably. Among both Republicans and MAGA supporters, support drops at least 20 percentage points, with less than half of each group viewing the law favorably after hearing it would increase the country’s uninsured rate and decrease funding for local hospitals."

What is said is that this poll is almost ten weeks old today, and it has not gotten any better for the GOP

KFF leans heavily to the left, John. But thanks for your attempt.
By the way, that Poll was taken in early June.

Not at all, Meister.

The Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) is generally considered to have a Center or slightly left-of-center lean, depending on the source:

🧭 Media Bias Ratings

  • AllSides rates KFF as Center, meaning it doesn’t consistently favor either liberal or conservative viewpoints.
  • However, some critics—especially from conservative circles—argue that KFF occasionally aligns with left-leaning health policy positions, particularly on issues like government drug pricing and Medicaid expansion.

🏥 What KFF Actually Does

KFF is a nonprofit organization focused on:

  • Health policy analysis
  • Public opinion polling
  • Health journalism (via KFF Health News)
  • Tracking issues like Medicare, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act
It’s widely respected across the political spectrum for its data-driven research, though interpretations of its findings can vary depending on political perspective.

And that where, Meister, who is far right, fails. To him it must seem communism incarnate.

Also, I guarantee 99%+ of the people who have 'unfavorable" views haven't read the bill.

Bullshit.

There may be some mis-steps by Trump that hurt him in the midterms. The key will be that he keeps his promises.

I've come to believe that DeSantis is going to run in 2028 because as soon as one seems to appear he appears on Fox News or some media outlet. As soon as Trump suggested accepting 600k Chinese students he was on Fox News pushing back.

Trumps tariffs, drive to bring industries back coupled with his deportations have saved his term thus far.

What if it doesn't add $3.3 trillion to the deficit, do they like it then?

and potential loss of health coverage for millions.

Won't ending coverage for illegal aliens and lazy, healthy people save money?

Put that 3.3 trillion into medicare and sovial security. Dont someday tell people we are going to have to make cuts. Then after that start paying down the debt which is resllt ofvsmall consequence. That would be supported by most everyone.

They care about themselves, not the deficit nor the illegals. They won't see any savings for themselves.
