Baseball. MLB season starts in one month.

I'd like to see an expansion to 32 teams, pitching declines not withstanding. Each league would have four divisions, with four teams each. There'd be 8 teams in the playoffs. First round is best of five. Then best of seven. Best record always get home field advantage.

They will not do this. Reduce to 28 teams and make two 14 team leagues. Each team play other teams in their own league 12 times. 12 times 13 equals 156 games. A balanced schedule with a sport that has a lot of games. Then decide how many teams make the playoffs in each league. To have a six seed make the world series after a 162-game season which is unbalanced in a huge way, does not make sense. So perhaps the top two teams in each 14-team league meet each other, and the winners go to the World Series.

That would be awesome. US population is growing, and there are enough cities where two can be added. Hell, you could add some of those cities in queer Canada, and it'd be alright with me.

do you remember these days?

I think Salt Lake City and San Antonio could market viable, competitive teams.

I have to wonder when Jokeland was a good city. Maybe right after they cleared out the injuns. It;s now so full of coons that two big teams left.

Damn your an old dude. :abgg2q.jpg:

I believe Hondo is one of the older members here. I think another member, Robert W, is in his eighties, but Hondo went to school with elder June Schwartz. Do you remember June? She used to post here and was born in 1925 or something like that. She grew up in Weimar Germany!

June recently passed, and I guess her son (J.S.) was on here paying tribute to her. He was a good guy, but I don't see him around much lately.
:(

86 in fact for Me. (Robert W) I have had a beautiful life. Minimum problems with health. Came from a Democrat family but I studied a lot and reformed to now a Republican. Been to Germany and lived there. Never met a German who told me they had been a Nazi. However even Democrat Roosevelt appreciated Hitler until he waged wars on various nations. Bear in mind that so did Truman and also Johnson. I know a lady in Florida who is 101 I believe or 102 and hope she lives a lot longer. She has a rich history and votes Republican. I will send a note today to her son who keeps us informed about his moms health. She had a stroke around 4 years ago and it has affected her. She used to post on AOL forums.

**** the A's...i hope their vegas shit falls apart....i can see why the fans in Oakland cant stand the owner....
Al Davis who owned the Raiders via sketchy acts by him is who I came to not like at all. Then he died and his son moved them to Vegas. See the Oakland crowd has a lot of blacks who claim they don't get paid a lot. And the Raiders upon coming back to Oakland jacked up ticket prices till the residents could not afford them. When the As were owned by the jackass Charles Finley, I was no fan of his. When he sold the team, things really improved. So I moved away from the Bay Area in 2019 and don't keep track of either team unless by accident. A fun fact is when I was a young man, I worked as a Piledriver on the Oakland Coliseum plus the Arena there. They were there still in 2019. Don't know about right now.

Blacks now own the Oakland Coliseum.

SAN FRANCISCO -- The departing Oakland Athletics have reached a tentative agreement to sell their half of the Coliseum to a private Black development group for $125 million, paving the way for the group to build a giant entertainment and sports complex in a long-neglected part of the San Francisco Bay Area city.

The African American Sports & Entertainment Group and the A's affiliate, Coliseum Way Partners, announced the deal in a joint statement Monday. The development group struck a deal in May to purchase the other 50% ownership interest from the city of Oakland for $105 million.

I was once a captain of industry. Some of you may have even heard of me.

I fulfilled a lot of childhood ambitions. I was even shooting for more when the weight of the world crushed my dreams.

I will return to give positive reactions to Robert W and others, and then continue my story. 'Til later.....

I would guess that more people go from liberal to conservative rather than the other way, but I have no numbers on that.

They are not liberal at all. They are radical far left.
