Subtitled as it's in German. This is based on the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest and from the perspective of the Cherusci. It's pretty much 3 best friends that are the primary characters. Ari's father was a reik and gave him to the Romans when he was a child as a peace offering. He shows back up as an adult looking for the standard that was stolen by his BFFs Thusnelda and Folkwin. This was an order given by his Roman father. Thusnelda's father is also about pacifying and siding with the Romans so there is this constant conflict that is ongoing through the better part of the series.

I am just happy that we win a show on the Roman Empire that is focused on the barbarians.
