Understood, but you have to be smarter than to simply refuse. Bannon did ecactly what they wanted him to do, allowing them to prosecute him.
He should have agreed to testify then plead the 5th the entire time. It would have pissed off the Democrats, and Bannon would not have been indicted / prosecuted.
