The point of mail in ballots is to MAIL THEM IN. Why do we need drop boxes at all? The only way boxes work is if they are at voting stations and are manned to regulate what goes in them and how to assure they are used legally.

Each ballot that is deposited has a unique barcode and it’s signature must match the one on file

you would have the same question with a drop box unless that box is in front of a Register of voters office..... in California on my route a drop box was picked up by whoever... a bunch of ballots including the box were found in a field 2 miles away from were it was located....
