But he had to get that money back to the states that would have to foot the bill for free healthcare for illegals and non-citizens.

Bills these "sanctuary states" are now on the hook for.

You want free healthcare for illegals in you state? Find, your state can pay for it. The Federal taxpayer isn't interested in reimbursing these states 90% for non-citizen healthcare.

"Republicans should have considered this before they decided" to put in a bill that would cut Medicaid and Medicare from over 4 million U.S. citizens and then hold the Democrats responsible for the shut down.

By the way, this bill has absolutely NOTHING to do with illegal aliens as by law, they cannot get any federal aid. Some states may give aid to illegal aliens, but they are not doing it Federally!

That issue should be taken into a discussion within the State and the State itself decide what is right or wrong.

The issue we are talking about is with the Federal Government and Federal workers and that has nothing to do with illegal aliens. It has to do with the Big Beautiful Bill taking away Medicare and Medicaid (in a federal way) from U.S. citizens and also causing health insurance to go up in price, affecting all Americans.
