Today there was an attack on a Belgium military base by a masked gunman…he also had explosives…..

Now I thought they had extreme gun control in Europe…..that is what we are always told….

But what I have found is that criminals, mass shooters and terrorists in Europe can get guns just as easily as American criminals can…this incident shows this to be true.

It remains to be seen what gun or guns the attacker had…..

It also shows why mass shooters in America go to gun free zones…no one shoots back. This guys attack was cut short by good guys with guns….

Shots fired after a masked gunman attacked a Belgian army base

A gunman was arrested in Belgium today after an attempted terrorist attack on a military base using a car feared packed with explosives.

The assault happened soon after 9am in the village of Flawinne, east of Charleroi, where a commando unit is stationed.

Shots were fired after a dark blue Ford Escort was driven through a perimeter fence towards the barracks, said a judicial source from nearby Namur.

"The car did not get through the gates," said the source. "There was a brief gunfight and then the masked man fled from the scene. He appeared to be acting alone."

Nope…it isn't normal gun owners doing the shooting…wrong again. We have 2 gun cultures in the United States, normal gun culture which is people who own guns for self defense, hunting, collecting, competition and tinkering. Then you have the criminal gun culture, where criminals use guns for crime and they make up the majority of gun murder in the United STates, are concentrated in tiny area in our inner cities, usually controlled by democrat social welfare programs and when you take out the numbers of criminal murder…our gun crime rates are probably better than Europe's with our people not being disarmed.

Criminals in Belgium can get guns just as easily as American criminals can…in fact, the 3 terrorists, 2 on government watch lists and one a convicted felon, who murdered the cartoonists in France, another country where normal people can't get guns but criminals get them easily…..they got their automatic rifles, pistols, grenades and rocket propelled grenade in Belgium….the train where the 3 Americans stopped the terrorist with the fully automatic military rifle originated in Belgium………

Guns are easily had in Europe….that their criminals don't use them as much is a matter of culture, not a matter of access to guns……in Japan…they don't commit crime as a culture, sure, they have criminals but their crime rate is tiny…..and not just big crime but crime of all kinds…because of their culture……

These attacks with guns will be increasing in Europe as they import more violent people from the 3rd world….

Belgium is 1.6 per 100,000. Or....same as...
Utah is about 1.8 per 100,000.

So....per 100,000 people....Belgium and Utah have about the same murder rate. But vastly different gun laws.

Belgium is mostly a bunch of white people.

When comparing two places...you must consider demographics.

Since Belgium is only 10 million people....it's more accurate to compare it to one of our 50 states with the most similar demographics.

Excellent point….and goes to my point about the two different gun cultures in the U.S….the democrat gun culture…made up of criminals in inner cities and normal gun culture….which you just pointed out….

Yeah because when you cram people together into a small space, ala the inner cities, more guns are the answer.

Salt Lake City and Nashville are big cities...pro sports sized cities....and both have very low crime rates relative to say...Baltimore and Chicago. Why?

According to anti gun beliefs…the gun murder rate should be far higher in Utah simply because they have loose gun laws……and that isn't the case…it is criminal culture, and culture in general that determines levels of violence….you could give every Japanese citizen a gun and their gun murder rate would not change…because they are by nature non violent and non criminal and conformist in nature.
