Zone1 Atheist Hitchens admits defeat after debating the theist John Lennox

Apparently you can't tell one single thing about that small pond behind my house that I created.
Sure I can. Would you like to discuss it in the bull ring? You can take the position that there isn't one single thing I can learn about your creating a small pond behind your house and I will take the position that I can. Fair enough?

No thanks. You had your chance and I have no interest in beating a dead horse.

Admitting defeat in the debate is not proof of God’s existence, one way or the other.
That's a matter of interpretation, it's possible Lennox's argument was very strong indeed, so strong that even an outspoken and unforgiving atheist like Hitchens was on the back ropes.
All it means is that Hitchens didn’t make his points and lost the debate.
Or did make his point but it wasn't sufficient to stand up to a rigorous attack by Lennox. I never watched that actual debate so I can't say but it's possible that Lennox argued incredibly well not just that Hitchens might not have been on form.

I don't think Hitchens admitted anything, it sounded like there was an audience that voted.
