ERs are pretty good these days. Don't worry.

What's a 'Bezo'?
Benzos or Bennies are benzodiazepines such as Valium, Xanax, Ativan etc.. etc...It's a class of drugs.

They are typically prescribed to reduce the anxiety and panic attacks often associated with clinical depression.

You are not supposed to drink alcohol when you are taking them. That's a big no, no. And the prescription bottle will have a WARNING label on it that says not to mix it with alcohol. Because the interaction between alcohol and benzodiazepines can cause serious health problems or even death.

Many people die from a combination of alcohol and benzodiazepines.

Since he's been taking those benzodiazepines and drinking, it seems like Quasar44 has some kind of fucking death wish or something.

Didn't you also have back surgery recently too? If so, you were probably prescribed some opioid pain killers too.

FYI: Opioids+Benzos+booze=prescription for sudden death via cardiac arrest caused by multi-drug toxicity.

The doc thinks I made error by quitting cold Turkey
. My heart still seems F loud but it’s in right range
Sometimes it's dangerous to go cold turkey.

It happened to me with alcohol. I was actually having the Budweiser truck deliver 20-30 cases beer to my house every other week. Then when my kids started getting old enough to realize what was going on I realized that I was setting a really bad example by drinking that much.

I wonder what the neighbors thought about that too. How many people in your neighborhood have a beer truck stop in front of their house every week or two?

At first I tried to wean myself off of it. That didn't work. So I went cold turkey. I already had enough medical knowledge to know that going cold turkey could result in going into delirium tremens and it could possibly kill you in some cases. So I knew what signs and symptoms to watch out for.

Then I started hearing my mailbox open and close repeatedly. It's a very distinctive sound. But when I looked at the mailbox, there was nobody near it. I was hearing noises that were not happening. I knew then that I was having auditory hallucinations and had to go to the hospital. I took my pulse and it was over 140.

So I called 911 and was taken to the ER.

I had to detox under close medical observation for several days.
