Are you sure? Frankly, I don't think people like that can switch off the crazy.
Seriously, look at this guy.

They didn't sell him a gun.

Holmes' defense attorneys stated in a motion that he was a psychiatric patient of the medical director of Anschutz Medical Campus's Student Mental Health Services prior to the Aurora shooting. The prosecutor disagreed with that claim.[66][67] Four days after the release of the defense attorney's motion, the judge required this information to be blacked out.[68] CBS News later reported that Holmes had met with at least three mental health professionals at the University of Colorado before the massacre. One of them, who was informed by Holmes of his homicidal thoughts, considered placing him on an involuntary mental health hold, but decided against it, noting her belief that Holmes was "borderline" and the commitment would only inflame him.[69]
One of Holmes' psychiatrists suspected that prior to the shooting, Holmes suffered from a mental illness that could have been dangerous. A month before the tragedy, Dr. Lynne Fenton told the campus police that he had also made homicidal statements.[70] Two weeks before the massacre, Holmes sent a text message asking a graduate student if the student had ever heard of the disorder dysphoric mania, and warning the student to stay away from him "because [he was] bad news".[71]
Um, yeah, if you are going to sell people the tools to commit mass murder, you should be held responsible when they commit mass murder, if they have a long standing pattern of irresponsible behavior.
Take the Tylenol Poisoning case in Chicago. The industry acted very responsibly, doing a 100% recall, and then changing the way they packaged items to keep it from happening again. Oh, yeah, and Johson and Johnson STILL reached a settlement with the families of the seven people who died! This is corporate responsibility. After 9/11, the airlines and government put in more advanced scanners, put steel doors on the airplanes, hired a more professional security force. Again- being responsible.
We have mass shooting after mass shooting, and the gun industry fights tooth and nail to keep guys like Joker Holmes and Awake the Rapper awash in guns.
Yes, I am. But it doesn't mean I'm wrong.
The gun industry is unethical. They are happy to see crazy people and criminals get guns, because they know people like will get scared and want more guns as well. They know every mass shooting will get politicians talking about gun control, and that sells more guns.
