Never had Measles. I was vaccinated in 1964. I did still get the mumps though. Brought it home, gave to my dad. Another thing to consider about now vs then is the current crop of kids are hot house flowers compared to you and me, less immune, more allergies, generally weaker, less active, more naturally susceptible and hit harder in general.

The Dumbass parents should have had their kid vaccinate against Measles, Mumps, Rubella long before they started school or daycare, for that matter.

I don't blame anyone for not getting their kids vaxxed now, and I say this as a mom whose kids had all their childhood vaccines. After the mess of the Covid vaccines, parents are right to be deeply skeptical.

Some vaccines are good: polio, small pox (no longer necessary), MMR. But the CDC fatcats couldn't stop there. We needed to vaccinate against chicken pox, flu, routine childhood illnesses. Soon enough we'll know the devastation these vaccines caused....

Had them, as did all my siblings. Sucked, but not that big of a deal. Today folks think they need hospitalization every time they sneeze.

As far as standard childhood diseases go, and the vaccinations, you and I made sure our kids got, that skepticism, simply reflects an ignorance, akin to superstition, on the part of those that do not read, study or understand. With the influx of migrants, the total population is at greater risk of disease, than any time in the last 60 years.
