It is the intention behind it. Russia isn't some progressive nation that just wants people to see the truth. They feed propaganda to their people on a daily basis. They have a dictator as president and his opponents always wind up in jail or mysteriously dead.

Russia wanted to see America collapse and a US president to be their puppet. Well they got what they wanted. America is going to suffer under Trump and he is Putin's bitch. Trump is now in debt because Putin helped him get elected.

If they really wanted to help us see the light, they should have leaked the information about the DNC during the primaries. That way Hilary would have never stood a chance as the democratic nominee . But they didn't because even the Russians knew Bernie Sanders would have won in a historic landslide against Trump.

If we're talking about the DNC being hacked then that's the DNC problem and they should bear the cost of securing their own systems. If we're talking about the federal government being hacked or individual state government systems then an investigation is in deed warranted along with implementation of proper voting credentials issued to citizens to safeguard elections.
