As Trump romps to wins, anti-Trump Republicans wonder: Do I still have a political home?

In a Republic, actually
“As Donald Trump comes close to clinching a third presidential nomination, anti-Trump Republicans are facing a sobering reality: Their party is unlikely to revert to what it was before the MAGA wave rolled in, and they now have no obvious political home.”

Disagree with the notion that prior to Trump the GOP was a sane, slightly right of center political party interested in sound, responsible governance that ‘changed’ overnight the consequence of Trump.

For at least the last 50 years the GOP has been a toxic, illiberal, authoritarian political entity consumed with ignorance, fear, hate and a desire to compel conformity and punish dissent.

Indeed, Trump is a product of the GOP.

And the problem is there are far too few anti-Trump Republicans left to stop the malignancy that is Trump.

Trump may benefit from Haley remaining in the race as it will mean fewer dollars available for Bidens campaign. Also, he gets to be in prime time mode and go out to rallies on election day etc. It's better to be a boxer who spars a little rather than jumping in cold.

He is obviously winning the Primary. The guy defies the laws of physics the way he keeps standing. He shouldn't even say her name it serves zero benefit to him.

I always laugh when leftwingers tell us what's wrong with our party. The answer, of course is nothing. President Trump was the most conservative-governing president of the past 100 years. No president checked off the GOP platform better than Trump during that time. That's why conservatives and Republicans love the guy. Leftwingers never did like him because they don't like conservatism.

He really kinda waddles. Not much "romping" going on. Lots of shuffling though!

Oh there is plenty wrong with your party. Trump set records for sending and debt. That's supposedly what conservatives are against.

I never actually see any of these so called "anti Trump republicans". He seems to be universally supported to me. :dunno:

No. You’ve seen them, and consider them liars or RINO’s. You see them and dismiss them.

No, no one has ever thought of that guy as a republican. He is also a registered independent, so there's that too. :dunno:
YOu can deny all you want. George Conway has been a respected republican for decades.

YOu problem is he's not part of the tRump cult.

Obviously, many Republicans are fed up with candidates like McCain and Romney who go along to get along and won't fight the democrat agenda.
