In recent years, it is shifting to plain revulsion at the "Palestinians," and their Iranian supporters, as contrasted with Israel's amazingly successful and free society.

I support Israel over th Palestinian squatters because:
1. It is The Land of Israel
2. We share common values
3. They are the only Western Democracy
4. Arabs have more than enough land
5. Arabs have committed genocide and ethnic cleansing wherever they rule
6. Arab culture is foreign to me.
7. Israel is the underdog in a sea of sharks

His logic doesn't make any sense. Why would (evangelical) Christians support Israel just for the sole reason that they think they will all "go to hell"in the end? For starters - it doesn't matter if every Jewish person is living in Israel - or even if it's "officially a state" in the end times - every prophecy in reference to Israel itself has pretty much already been fulfilled. When it comes to Jerusalem - that city would stand with or without the State of Israel because it is considered Holy Ground by all 3 Abrahamic Religions so any "end times" prophesies in relation to Jerusalem wouldn't be affected by them living there or not either.

Christians support Israel because it is the Holy Land, the foundation of Christianity and where the vast majority of the books of the Bible took place.

Many evangelicals support the Scofield heresy which promotes Christian Zionism. They are taught that when all the Jews return to the Holy Lands 2/3rds of them will die. I/3rd of them will convert to Christianity and Jesus will return.
