As for honoring Confederate Generals, every major battle of the Civil War pitted one West Point grad against another. Approximately NONE of them was fighting to retain slavery, and if you know anything about the Constitution of the United States, you must at least suspect that there is nothing that prohibits a State from leaving the Union. Indeed, fighting for that right was arguably appropriate. I see nothing wrong with honoring Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, or any other Confederate war hero.
