We need more veterans on Capitol Hill as well. It's no coincidence that congress stopped functioning effectively around the same time as the percentage of veterans participating dropped to a post-WWII low.

Only 18% of our senators and representatives are veterans today. Back in 1971, when congress was able to still do its job, it was 73%.

Veterans know how to work together as a team to accomplish the job they were given. They understand that personal wants and needs take a back seat to what their duty requires.

The current crop of mostly selfish partisan My Way or the Highway amateurs have no business pretending that they serve any good purpose in Washington. We need to replace them with men and women who know how to set aside their own biases and preferences and do the job we hired them to do - legislate for the benefit of us all as a nation.
