Unless you want to believe that the pilot just happened to know where Kid Rock lived and happened to know that he'd be fine with the event and happened to know that there was an approach vector....

I did like the facade of an "investigation" into the matter......like when a police force investigates a guy getting shot 37 times in the back and finds no misconduct.

I've been flown around by a lot of chopper pilots in Tennessee. If there is something of interest along the route, they will definitely swing by and take a look, but not linger. This includes famous places, famous people (as was the case here) or even women sunbathing topless or otherwise undressed, if catching the eye of pilots or crew.
