Are you watching Jeff Sessions? "I don't remember" is a terrible explanation.

I like Jeff Sessions. He has the balls to speak about politically charged topics in the past on the floor of congress. He is a man of great integrity.

He sounds like an idiot refusing to answer questions. There's a LOT he doesn't know. Too much. He's supposed to be in charge of law enforcement in the US, and he comes across as not knowing much.
The only questions that were not answered was private conversations with people that don't belong in the public domain.

When he states, "to the best of my recollection", that was necessay when antagonists of Sessions and Trump insisted that he met and had a meeting with the Russian Ambassador happened to be a public handshake at the Mayflower hotel after a speech given by Sessions. They exchanged brief pleasantries while in the reception line. Sessions had forgotten he was in the reception line and said he did exchange pleasantries at this time. How was he supposed to remember everyone in that reception line who basically said, "Good Speech, Attorney General?!

Anyone who has ever worked in a busy environment knows it's nearly impossible to recall insignificant details after several days.

I was recently asked about an alarm not working. The IT guy I started with couldn't remember it being disconnected.
I later got a conference call that included a contractor who disconnected the alarm, but couldn't remember who requested it.

Shit happens.
While I would've liked to have had the name of the person who requested it be disconnected, I can certainly understand why he couldn't remember.

Which is why it is a good idea to write some notes immediately afterward, if not during.

Or you could just tape all conversations in the Oval Office...

Did I have a meeting with the Russian Ambassador? I don't remember.

Now, Sessions if explaining why he was working outside the bounds of his recusal when he co-signed Comey's "notice".
He said, "No."
As the Boss, he most likely had to sign it, didn't he?
What is the question? He signed the termination letter.
Sessions recused himself from anything "Russian" in the Trump Administration/Russian investigation. Then he signed the termination letter and Trump said he was firing Comey because of the Russian investigation, which, of course, violates Sessions recusal pledge. Got it?
You have that wrong. If you take the time to read Rod Rosensteins letter, the reason for the termination is because of Comey's usurping of power away from prosecutors, having press conferences to the public which were against the rules and manifested himself as prosecutor, judge and jury on the Hillary Clinton investigation. There is nothing about the Russian investigation that was paramount in the reason for the termination of Comey. Several former Attorney Generals and Deputy Attorney generals weighed in on the problem of Comey's behavior.
If that was the real reason, they would have fired him on Day One, and they would have had a meeting with Comey to criticize him long before firing him.

They would not have waited until the day after Trump asked them for an excuse to fire him several months into the Administration.

This was a textbook ex post facto railroad job.

And Trump admitted in an interview the real reason was the Russian investigation.

Trump also told his Russian pals that's why he fired Comey.

Comey's firing had NOTHING to do with what was in those bullshit letters.

Wrong, there was. They exposed the Democrats for the sleazy Clintonian-political machine they are.

Recall American hero Seth Rich provided Wikileaks with the DNC emails, not Russia.
A lie.
What? That the Democrats are a sleazy Clintonian machine?

Puhleez!
The Seth Rich myth is horse piss. Stop drinking it.
How can you dismiss the fact that he was the leaker and when shot for a "robbery-murder" he still had his wallet, credit cards, money and watch? But that isn't the purpose of this thread.

Honestly, I have a problem with the timing as well. But Democratic Attorney Generals agreed with the decision to fire him.

I just hope I get a chance to **** up a liberal. It is going to be really bad.

konraqdv, you don't have enough of the facts to warrant an informed deccision. "I know nothing" appears to suggest you are talking about yourself.

Doesn't that apply to you to. You seem to have "informed" opinions, despite also not having all the facts. Pot, kettle, black.

Rosenstein was using ex post facto reasons to fire Comey. He was reverse engineering the case after being directed by Trump to find a way to fire Comey. But it is a simple fact, admitted by Trump, the real reason was the Russian investigation.

Those letters were a railroad job. They are not the reason Comey was fired.

Read the Rosenstein letter. It incapsulates the problems with Comey. (Rosenstein is the Attorney general)

Can you deny that he wasn't acting as prosecutor, judge and jury when it was not his role?
