I took a class in college that studied this ... two classes in fact ... Astronomy and Astrophysics ...

I had a Calculus test question to prove Kepler's First Law starting with Newton's Law of Gravity ... for fun I provided the proofs for the other two of Kepler's Law of Planetary Motion as well ... I literally have forgotten more than you will ever know ...

The problem is we don't measure temperature here on Earth's surface accurate enough to detect any changes due to orbital distances ... I've done the math, and you need to do the math yourself, high school algebra ... no excuses ...

The winter of 2013-14 was brutal. We were just talking about it over Christmas. It started snowing in early Jan here and didn't stop until the end of March--and it was so cold. I remember I hit the wall driving to work one morning in mid-March...the temp my car read was -12 air temp. UGH no thanks.

Yeah, I been seeing them hype this new cold front. . . but folks in this area that have any memory at all, know that the 20's is not really that cold. Hell, I see folks wear short and short sleeves and skirts when the temp is in the 20s. . . . as long as there is no wind or breeze.
