Are You Gen X....The Last Great Generation?

Gen X has none of the things the Boomers had. We doubt we'll even have Social Security.
Because of your voting. Good job. Way to ruin the country for your kids, and put all the debt onto your grandchildren.

Lol, you old ***** are why we are in the position we are in now.
Yall ruined everything. The American Dream is basically a nightmare now.
You’re thinking of Boomers.

They inherited a victorious America after WWII and instead of continuing America’s legacy they embraced the sexual revolution and degeneracy, and decided to start worshipping the Jewish state of Israel. They brought about the Roe v Wade era of mass baby killing, embraced and promoted the lies of feminism and multiculturalism.

Gen X was indoctrinated with all this stuff since we were kids. We’ve had to deprogram ourselves although some of us never bought into it in the first place.

People born between 1980 and 1983 or so often get the term Xennial applied.
I've also heard people born between 1960 and 1975 are called Generation Jones, because we're allegedly jonesing for something. Who says demographers can't be dicks?

Gen X started in 1965.....and those who were born during that time seem to be more self-reliant and much less pampered.

We can't understand the spoiled brats that makes up Gen Z and those that follow.

We all seem to have raised ourselves because both our parents had to work for a living.

Gen X - Raised without applause.

Gen X will be leaving the workforce over the next decade. The world will wonder why nothing is getting done and no one will know how to fix it. It's why we are receiving less and less services but the cost just continues to go up and up.

Yes. The wife could technically retire this year and switched to a part time job that she will probably quit once we get grandkids that need tending to.

The older ones will start, those of us born in the mid to late 70's still have plenty of time left.

Unless the younger generations start to excel at getting productivity out of AI.

No. They are being replaced by AI.
AI is great for preforming productive tasks, but dismal at predicting which productive tasks will be the most productively beneficial to society. It still needs to be directed. I don't expect that to change anytime soon.

Once an AI model can create a novel joke or other creative work that is more popular superior to a human? Then we will be in trouble. That will be a pretty big hurdle IMO.

Thats not what its being used for. Its being used to do the jobs of your humble bureaucrat office drones, assist in programming, etc. Businesses are using it to replace starting jobs.

Precisely. Productivity is largely a measure of growth in the economy. None of those tasks add to the expansion of the economy.

And I’m sure it’s pure coincidence that “the last great generation” also happens to be the generation you belong to?
