Depends on the task. Most people are idiots.

I often work as part of a team where I am the only one who is not "technical" and it's my role to provide a reality check to a bunch of engineers who are not "business" oriented.

In those situations I am happy and productive being part of a team.

For most things, however, I work best by myself.

I remember when I was in HS we used to get a letter grade with a subscript of 1-4 to denote attitude and participation 1 being the highest 4 being very poor

I used to get A4 in almost all of my academic subjects

Part of being a team is playing off of one another strengths while accepting weaknesses. It is complex and time consuming to learn each other. I am always moving and do not have that time or desire..

Sometimes you naturally "mesh" with someone. That's hard enough.
Finding a group that "meshes" - even harder, but like marriages, involves change and compromise
