I don't see how different and equal are somehow synonyms. I'd hazard a guess that my gay and no kids neighbors have more in common with some of the DINKS I know that they do me, but that has nothing to do with equality. Women and men traditionally see things, like sex, somewhat differently, but much of that may be cultural, and even then both sexes have lustful urges and urges to eschew lust in favor of commitment. Some women choose to earn less so they can nurture, but some men do the same. I just don't see where this argument comes from or where it would go.

to be fair, Obama isn't the one saying all women should not have access to contraception through employment. That is NOT pitting one sex or person against another. He's not a birther. And not noting there's a racist tinge to the immigration debate is sort of head in the sand.

However, bushii for all his failures, did have a view of a more homogenous society. But then, poll after poll shows blacks don't see as homogenous a society as blacks.
