Are we still a nation of laws?

A flabby-assed bully has been elected President, a convicted felon who lies shamelessly and flaunts his ignorance and contempt for the U.S. Constitution.

The narcissistic blowhard struts the usual “strong man” swagger and weak men, as is also customary l, grovel. He flails a “victimhood!” card that panders to easily-lead , grievance-driven white Christian males - "Oooo! America is being so mean to me!" - as if theirs were not the nation’s dominant demographic in government, business, finance, personal wealth, etc, - as the cry baby demonizes the “other” - vicious aspersions such as Black immigrants eating pet dogs and cats a typical, fear-inducing lie.

The historic pattern is all too tiresomely familiar.

please expound on this (above)...

Normally, such a whiny punk would be put in his place by the courts, but the reprobate prepared for his perversion of the American system of checks and balances by having appointed deferential lackeys that have propped him up above the laws of the land, intimidating spineless Republicans in Congress.

Congress? As they look the other way, Senator Thom Tillis (R) of North Carolina has concede that what Trump is doing “runs afoul of the Constitution in the strictest sense,” but enforcement of the law is no longer a priority for them.

Despite the capitulation of the judiciary and abandonment of Constitutional oversight by Congress, I expect that patriots who previously were able to take pride in America will redress the nation’s plight on November 3, 2026.

Until then, it’ll be a long, dark Kristallnacht

Are we still a nation of laws?

Sure we are. In fact, there's a new one. Use a plastic straw.

---Trump to sign order promoting plastic straws---
