Are we ok with vendetta government?

To end the lawfare.

Is Trump using the DOJ as a weapon? If not, what's the issue, again? If yes, the Democrats have done the same, and now are using low-level federal judges to affect the same policies the voters rejected by electing Trump.

You don't like the term "weapon," for the use of prosecution and courts against political opponents, suggest a better one.
I don't like the term "weapon" because it points to what you're really up to: fighting the "culture war" with government.

Negotiate over what??

Weapon??

Pass laws, or Constitutional amendments making it explicitly illegal to target political enemies with the state.

lmao

Good luck with that. :p

Repeal regulations that give government the power to fuck with people and businesses ad hoc.

Regulation is necessary.

There's a lot of evil businessmen out there.

But more than anything? Rs need to give up their lurid fantasies and insane rhetoric. There's no deep state plotting the demise of the US. There are foreign actors provoking the kind of division Trump feeds on, but the two party clusterfuck has us looking at our own countrymen as more "evil" than foreign enemies.

You're an idealist.

This is the time to be practical.

We simply can't allow the excesses the D's brought to the table in the last 4 years.

The worst part is they won't let us correct them. It's obvious the libs don't want to talk about election security, don't want to talk about spending, don't want to talk about borders and hordes of unwelcome illegals.

So, we apparently have to stretch the law a little to fix some of these things, because Congress is broken and completely irresponsible.

If the Courts wanted to regain credibility they'd shitcan Citizens United. That's the first thing I'd do, put tight controls on money in politics. That would help all around, but Congress is too corrupt to talk about it.

retard they created from whole cloth the charges the original supposed offense was a misdemeanor and the statute of limitations was up.

But that’s not true. The offense is a felony when it’s covering up another crime. The statute of limitations was not up.

You are the one making fabrications.

Ah yes...I remember when Trump let the IRS off the hook for violating the free speech rights of political opponents.
I remember when those two Trump supporters in senior FBI posts exchanged texts about BIden "is never going to be President, right? RIGHT?" "No. No, we'll stop it." And they did this on FBI-issued phones while having an extra-marital affair! Damn that Trump lawfare!

No but you did vote for the Lawfare....
No. I didn't.
I don't know why people are surprised when others learn to use the same dirty tricks.
The introduced it and Trump picked it up.
Yep. They started it. Who will end it? Doesn't look like Trump as any interest.

Oh, it started far before this.

At the risk of dating myself, I can remember way back when Clinton opponents were getting IRS audits that defied statistical probabilities.

Theres a difference between going after people who are suspected of committing crimes and going after people because you don’t like them.
Yes, but how could you tell the difference?

Just that when R's do it, it's going after people they don't like and when D's doe it is going after people who are suspectd of committing crimes?

Case in point: LaMonica McIver is suspected of committing the crime of battery on a federal officer, which was recorded on multiple body cams.

Is prosecuting her going after people they don't like?

Wanna bet? They'll be back, and worse than ever. That's how the two-party clusterfuck works.
I've been saying that since Trump first won. My concern has been that they'll fuck this up so badly that the hardcore Left will get back in and drag us back in the opposite direction.

But no, just like the hardcore Left, the Trumpsters have all the fucking answers. Right?

Ideologues just don't learn.
