Additionally, fighting the charges has taken time and attention away from building his businesses, as well as costing him potential clients.

In other words, he's paid a steep price even if the prosecutions go nowhere.

Trump has been using "lawfare" as a form of attack for decades, suing anyone and everyone he possible can, and using the courts to punish anyone who crosses his path. That's why he was so effective in delaying his own prosecution.

He appeals every decision which goes against him until he runs out of appeals. This is both time consuming and expensive for the other side. So while Trump loses all of these cases, his victims are paying a huge price fighting them.

Bad government is never "justified". If what the Biden admin did exceeded their authority (and I agree that it did), we should work to make sure that can't happen again. Not use it as an excuse to go hog wild with more government abuse in the name of "getting even".
