Zone1 Are Religions Moral???

PoliticalChic

Your question is elusive as morality is elusive. Until you establish what you consider 'moral' and prove it is the law to be observed, then your question is empty and void.

You ask, 'are religions moral'? If you can't prove the morality to judge them by, your question has no meaning.

In other words...are you the judge of what is moral and what is not? Is it 'your' morality we are all to live by?

Quantrill
I answered that in the very first item.

"The word moral refers to principles of right and wrong in behavior. It describes actions that align with standards of goodness, fairness, and honesty, or it refers to the practical life lesson taught by a story." Google.

Zero sanctity of human life —- it is part of Consciousness and therefore eternal .
It simply “Is” and requires no qualification .

So called Western Civilisation is just one blip in a much bigger picture and probably should be commented on in terms of a fluid and developing process , rather than an isolated event / era .
"Zero sanctity of human life —"

You have no place in Western Civillization.

Have you considered applying that zero to yourself?

Cut out your attempted patronisation .

My point , as you well know , is that Cherry Picking all available data helps make wider points and attempted generalisations that much easier ,
Encourages Fake conclusions .
It is called Cheating .
Since you are unable to answer either question, consider Google or a dictionary.

Don't hurry back.

It could be said that "moral" aspires to an objective truth, while "moralistic" concerns establishing rules for society to follow. In that context, we might view the religions being practiced in the world as not moral because they inhibit our race from maturing because they are only moralistic. They assert authority in a conflicting and contradictory, hypocritical fashion. This retards any progress toward finding truly objective references across cultures and languages. What we know as facts about the universe and our psychology are not reflected in the practices of these religions. For example, the deeper truths of Jesus's words, the profound metaphors, are not what the religion supposedly formed around him expound. That is "immoral".

Where does "truth" enter the discussion?

You can't refute my post so you deflect. Typical.

Sounds like what people did back then, like Joshua killing every living thing in Jericho.
1.For Democrat voters, even those nominally Jewish, following the dictates of their party takes precedent over truth.....and survival.
This party had a 70 year love affair with communism…..no surprise it has added Islamofascism to the embrace.

a. “The extermination of the Jews of Medina represents the iconic moment in Islam, just as the Sermon on the Mount is the iconic moment of Christianity, or the parting of the Red Sea is for the Jews.” Edwin Black in his book, “ The Farhud: The Roots of the Arab-Nazi Alliance in the Holocaust.”

b. And this:
“Malaysia’s prime minister, who said he is proud to be called anti-Semitic, is speaking at Columbia University” Malaysia's prime minister, who said he is proud to be called anti-Semitic, is speaking at Columbia University - Jewish Telegraphic Agency

Nothing has changed, either for the Democrat Party or for Islam.
