Are farmers in the USA more satisfied with their situation under the current government?

I don't know, EU folks are weird about contacting them out of the blue.

There were a bunch of Swiss K31 rifles imported a couple decades ago and most of them had the soldier's name and address on a plastic tag under the butt plate (they took their rifles home with them) after training sessions.

Some of the new owners contacted them and I heard more that a few were not pleased to be bothered.
That's a really crazy story. We also had a Swiss carbine, but an Karabiner11, and I found this rolled paper with a name under the butt plate while cleaning my fathers rifle as a child. We wrote a letter, the Swiss post office sent it to the unit where he served, and the commander informed us that he had unfortunately already passed away (it was in the 80s). But normally, people in Europe are happy to meet new, nice people 😊 but maybe the Swiss are an exception 🤔

As a European, it's difficult for me to judge objectively; you read this or that. As far as I understand, the farmers had hoped for an improvement in their situation. Has it improved?

Surely things are looking better for farmer, with the increased exports of wheat, soybean and corn.
However, there are still problems about beef that have not been addressed. Under Biden, basically four major companies monopolized the growth and distribution of beef in America. That has impacted both farmers and consumers.

Inflation isn’t 8 percent

Fuel prices aren’t $5/gallon
Trumpflation is worse and farmers are seeing record bankruptcies this year. Trump killed the overseas markets for our exports and now he's promising a bailout bandaid to whitewash the damage he's done.
Doesn't sound "better" to me.

No actually inflation is less then 3 percent on the year

3 percent is less then 8

Don’t you know how math works?

Quit making shit up. The inflation rate in January 2025 was also 3%.
Which is still less then 8 percent and much less then the over 20’percet during the dark days of dem govt…not to mention fuel prices are drastically lower

Chicken farmers suffered from mass failures, which lead to the need for mas genocide of their birds by xiden

Beef farms had to so bad they cut their herds to record low herd populations…by Feb of 2024 we had a low we hadn’t seen in nearly 80 years

...and borrowing money is very tough.
Powell kept rates high based on the bogus BLS jobs numbers, saying a million jobs created when the actual number was 22,000.
Beef is still a major problem, expect $10 a pound next summer.

The democrat goal is for America to be a banana republic where china agrees to buy our raw materials and sell us finished goods

But only as long as we do as we’re told by the chinese

Otherwise they put economic pressure on vulnerable groups such as farmers

Its a very precarious situation that trump is trying to overcome

What America needs to do is find other markets for our foodstuffs

Maybe bend a little and try to meet euro standards for non gmo and the sort of chemicals we spray on our crops

I wouldn't get into who is stupid after comparing Trump/Republican policies to the moronic/deviant democrat policies.

Maybe they're both stupid.

Maybe the people who accept the current system are stupid.

If Trump follows through on importing Argentinian beef it may devastate American producers.
But you know TACO...so who knows?

Even if true, we don't believe you. Go your way.

Some are beef cattle ranchers,
Some grow only corn,
Some grow only soy,
Some, in comparatively very small numbers, grow a vegetable or fruit crop,
Some raise chickens,
Some raise other grains, rice, barley, rye, sorghum,

It's like Ol' McDonald and Dr. Suess had a baby that couldn't rhyme.

Getting $10 a pound for beef shouldn't punish US ranchers too harshly, but still not helping the affordability problem.

Small, American farms are failing at a rapid pace. If I owned a small farm and I watched as the current administration supported Argentine ranchers while my small farm was failing -- I'd be something far worse than "unsatisfied."
