Are Biden's issuance of presidential pardons going too far?

Pardons aren’t the same as commutations, dipshit.

Trump pardoned his cronies who protected him.

Biden is protected people from political persecution from a president who we know has no qualms telling the DoJ to do his bidding and is getting the personnel in place to follow his corrupt orders.

Same shit, different day.

How can they be pardoned if they haven't been convicted of anything?

NIxon's pre-emptive pardon was supposed to be a one-off, look for these to be challenged.

It's not only Trump's rage, you're going to feel the rage of 77,303,573 people over the next four years.

We've had just about enough of you, and remember, you brought this on yourselves.
Hey dickhead, I is the wrong form of usage....Try being better at English usage.

Now he pardoned Fauci and Milley. Pardoned from what? When have these people ever been convicted and sentenced for any crimes?

Biden pardons Fauci and Milley in an effort to guard against potential ‘revenge’ by Trump

"WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden has pardoned Dr. Anthony Fauci, retired Gen. Mark Milley and members of the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, using the extraordinary powers of his office in his final hours to guard against potential “revenge” by the incoming Trump administration.

The decision by Biden comes after Donald Trump warned of an enemies list filled with those who have crossed him politically or sought to hold him accountable for his attempt to overturn his 2020 election loss and his role in the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Trump has selected Cabinet nominees who backed his election lies and who have pledged to punish those involved in efforts to investigate him.

“The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that any individual engaged in any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be misconstrued as an admission of guilt for any offense,” Biden said in a statement. “Our nation owes these public servants a debt of gratitude for their tireless commitment to our country.”

It’s customary for a president to grant clemency at the end of his term, but those acts of mercy are usually offered to everyday Americans who have been convicted of crimes. But Biden has used the power in the broadest and most untested way possible: to pardon those who have not even been investigated yet. And with the acceptance comes a tacit admission of guilt or wrongdoing, even though those who have been pardoned have not been formally accused of any crimes."

I don't believe this is constitutional and I don't think it will stand

The Nixon Pardon was never challenged I believe, because everyone just wanted the issue to go away once Nixon resigned.

That isn't the case here, look for Congress or Trump to challenge the notion of pre-emptive pardons.

NIxon's pre-emptive pardon was supposed to be a one-off, look for these to be challenged.
Nixon was actually a criminal and no one gives a shit about your proclamation about what was “supposed” to be.

Changing the rules when it suits you is perfectly aligned with your fascist tendencies. Bonus points for changing the rules to facilitate political persecution of your enemies. Double good fascism.

Sure it will since it is a tradition of the presidency.
The power of the president to grant pardons is found in Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution. This power allows the president to forgive people convicted of federal crimes, end their sentences, and restore their rights.

What the Constitution says

  • The president can grant pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment
  • The president's pardon power includes the power to grant reprieves, remit fines, penalties, and forfeitures

Like Biden saying an amendment that expired before being ratified is now "the law of the land"?

And Trump paid Fauci to do it when he was president, but you let Trump skate scott-free as per usual.
No. resident poopy pants just let fauci skate scott- free as per usual.

You are really having trouble with simple facts this morning.

It’s as fictional as Obama’s law degree

To my understanding it simply means any investigation can't end in a 'conviction' Marty

Without the threat of conviction, good luck getting them to admit to anything.

The funding for the research was stopped during Oblama and started again under Trump; Trump will need a reprieve.

Trump had no idea Fauci was lying when he got done in '20 Moon dude
