well, that lasted about 3 seconds for me... :scared1:

Well that sucked a big fat one. 😐

I think the thread is a sales pitch, judging the link the OP provided.

You can listen to the whole album on Youtube if you're a masochist and your taste in music is something that sounds like meth-addicted badgers gnawing on your skull.

I enjoyed the instrumental. Pretty damn heavy.
I am a metal head, but I am more into bands like suicide silence, emmure, immenence, alex the terrible etc. But I can jam to this.
I like your avatar too. Dani is a fckd up individual. Hes awesome. lol

An interesting rationalisation of illness .
I have heard unusual fans of serial killers adopt the same types of pseudo support to explain their own problems .

Too heavy for me. I like it more melodic, like Avenged Sevenfold, which you probably wouldn't consider as being "metal."

I was expecting to see the gay Viking or some shit.

I get it. Most people cant get into it.
I appreciate the talent that goes along with this music. That fast rythem, constant shredding, how you carry your screams and such.
I like AS. They are a good group. I would call it metal. At least the older stuff.

You're right about that. Metal guitarists and drummers are pretty damned proficient. Back when I played guitar, I remember having to use Superglue under my fretting hand fingernails, because they would start to separate. That shit was painful. A huge part of the riffs used by metal guitarists are straight out of classical music too.

Watch this video. This is joey from slipknot. He passed away, sadly. But watch this guy go round and round, and never miss a beat.

There is one song, I forget which, where had a full 30 second solo doing this. It was amazing.

Slipknot is one band I do like. Tommy Lee from Motley Crue did that rotating drum thing back in 1987. Kieth Emerson of Emerson Lake and Palmer suspended and a grand piano during a 1974 tour.

The best I could ever do was throwing my guitar up in the air and catching it while still playing, and playing behind my back. But that was in the late 80's in Texas, when everyone was trying to play like Stevie Ray Vaughn. The one day the whole Texas music scene changed to Pantera and Drowning Pool.

Yeah, I was never into LA hair bands, but some of them have withstood the test of time.
