Well, well well. And all this time, my fellow conservatives told me the inflexible ones were the democrats:

AP:
President Donald Trump said in an interview aired on Sunday that he “won't be extorted” by Democrats who are demanding negotiations to extend the expiring Affordable Care Act subsidies. Echoing congressional Republicans, the president said on CBS' “60 Minutes” he'll negotiate only when the government is reopened.

The democrats should make a good faith proposal to show they're willing to negotiate. As it is, they first demanded that all of their wants be met or they'll take their ball and go home. Now they're demanding that the other side has to negotiate first or they'll, you guessed it, take their ball and go home. Seriously, if all they want is to extend the subsidies and fund everything else the way they are, say so. They're acting like kids on the playground, and it's not a good look for them.

Oh, and yes, the democrats are the inflexible ones. Let's not forget that.

And of course, you will have the honor of determining whether Republicans proposals are good faith, and whether Democrats proposals are good faith.
The suspense is killing me

Thus far, democrats have offered no proposals, only refused every offer that did not meet every single one of their demands. Offer a separate bill to be debated on extending the subsidies, go ahead. If enough voters want it, it'll happen. That's how things get done. What they're doing now is extortion.

And yes, I specify good faith because democrats generally can't be trusted to keep their word. Offer a completely written bill to be debated, not just vague assurances that they'll actually do anything.

You don't negotiate with extortionists pointing a gun at your head

Republicans have made it clear for years that they value their own, person reelections over their party keeping control of the Congress or White House.

They will obey.

It is in the Legislature. Trump does not get involved until he has something to sign.

Civics 101.

The Democrats continue to harm America.

Then why does he want to negotiate after signing? He’s not required to negotiate in that case either.

We are talking about a CR, right? Not the federal budget that is coming up. Seems
the democrats are just getting in front of their skies......I think we all know why. TDS

The national air system is shutting down over this. Its a CR. If losing ACA subsidies is bad the MAGAs will be punished for it. Let it happen and quit screwing the US for it.

Sounds like Trump isn't really much of a leader.

Maybe you should. Americans aren't super fond of reelecting the party that can't govern.
Like open borders kind of governing? :laughing0301:
How about mandating no gas stoves in new developments?
How about shutting down oil drilling as Biden left the Whitehouse?
How about embracing communists in your party?
That kind of good governing?

Yeah, you and your press run with that. :rolleyes-41:

Beats shutting down air travel and stopping SNAP benefits.

What ever you say comrade, what ever you say.
Schumer Shutdown, the CR has all the republican votes, the democrats
are the party shutting down the government.
But you're such a tool, you even embraced communists in your party.
