AP: Trump says he won’t negotiate to end the shutdown

What does terrorism have to do with the shutdown?
Terrorism is probably not quite the right word, lib. But the same principle is involved.

Just as we say that we don’t negotiate with terrorists :: we don’t and shouldn’t negotiate with extortionists, either.

Until Schumer learns how to behave like a civilized adult, he needs to be shunned. The Schumer shutdown will continue until he concedes defeat on his sordid effort.

The democrats should make a good faith proposal to show they're willing to negotiate. As it is, they first demanded that all of their wants be met or they'll take their ball and go home. Now they're demanding that the other side has to negotiate first or they'll, you guessed it, take their ball and go home. Seriously, if all they want is to extend the subsidies and fund everything else the way they are, say so. They're acting like kids on the playground, and it's not a good look for them.

Oh, and yes, the democrats are the inflexible ones. Let's not forget that.
Each party thinks and blames the other for the shutdown, meaning that your post is meaningless.

Having said that, among the voters, polls show that more people blame the Republicans than the Democrats

Twenty-two days into a government shutdown after Congress hit a budget impasse, 45 percent of registered voters think Republicans in Congress are more responsible for the government shutdown, while 39 percent think Democrats in Congress are more responsible and 11 percent volunteered that they think both parties are equally responsible, according to a Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pea-ack) University national poll of registered voters released today.

Among independents, 48 percent think Republicans in Congress are more responsible, while 32 percent think Democrats in Congress are more responsible and 14 percent volunteered that they think both parties are equally responsible.

Bottom line, it really does not matter who is truly to blame! It is the voting booth that counts!

My position is based on facts.

1. Schumer started the shutdown with a filibuster, stopping work in the Senate. Fact.
2. Schumer can stop the shutdown by stopping his filibuster, letting spending bills pass. Also fact.

The only thing stopping the Senate from passing bills funding SNAP, etc. is Chuck U's filibuster, the only thing.

Well, well well. And all this time, my fellow conservatives told me the inflexible ones were the democrats:

AP:
President Donald Trump said in an interview aired on Sunday that he “won't be extorted” by Democrats who are demanding negotiations to extend the expiring Affordable Care Act subsidies. Echoing congressional Republicans, the president said on CBS' “60 Minutes” he'll negotiate only when the government is reopened.
What is to negotiate, though?

Each side has drawn the proverbial "red line" and the lines are far apart.

The pork-packed CR offered by the Democrats expired November 1st. If the Republicans wanted ro throw in the towel, give in to all demands and reopen the nation today, there is no way for them to do so.

The clean CR offered by the GOP only goes through November 21st. If I were a Dem strategist, id say sign the CR, fund all agencies and programs and be ready to fight again starting November 22nd.

Barring that, how would the negotiations go? They just sit in a room and look at each other?

Would they say "Will you vote for the CR?" "Nope." "How about now?" "Uh-uh!" until they fall asleep at the table?

Tuesday night he admitted that Republicans are losing on the shutdown.

Democrats refuse to vote for anything other than their plan to add $1.5T to the debt, repeal some of the BBB spending cuts, and forces legal restrictions on what the president can do with government employees and funds.

Anyone telling you the shutdown is due to the GOP knows they are lying to you.

You were very careful not to mention that this is a 10 year estimate. Very slick.
You want people to think Democrats just slapped 1.5 trillion for this fiscal year.

By the way, is there 1.5 trillion figure a CBO estimate? Or an estimate by a right when think tank?
You are not very intelligent. Schumer wanted 1.5 trillion added on. Period.
It wouldn't be a clean CR. Period. Nobody argued with that figure.
What's the matter with you?

I don’t think this guy liked my question about the CBO vs the right wing thing tank. I think I i know why.

And he still won’t say “10 years”.
He also thinks that voters are against spending on Medicaid and Obamacare. Lol.

The American people deserve better then Dem politicians willing to extort them

Trumps offer to meet with them once they open the govt, they refuse. Nobody knows why

You must hate those Republicans currently negotiating with democrats in Congress

15th post
Why is negotiation contingent on passing a CR?

They should be negotiating now.
Republicans vowed to get back to regular order on a budget. This bullshit of trashing up a CR with Democrats wish list of spending, is over.
