AOC has been quietly backed by the Communists. They consider her brash and drawing too much attention to their goals. At some point they will simply select another individual who can generate a measure of public appeal, while at the same time, be a bit more subtle in front of the camera.
Sanders is also pro-Marxism and a danger to our Bill of Rights. I don't see anything that indicates she is a rock in her district. She is a dem rock star on the national stage because she knows how to get national attention. I am not so sure that is playing well with her actual constituents because she acts like a fool to get national attention. That may play well with the media - not so sure it plays well with those that actually have to vote for her.
