Anyone remember those Bush campaign promises?

i'll admit, bush is an unwavering, stubborn, alienating leader. look at all the support from other nations in iraq. but i don't see how this has to do with campaign promises.

daily kos? lol reputable? double  you are speaking in tounges. and i'm going to cry if i don't get good reputation points here BOO HOO

and yes, it is my opinion. maybe if you didn't have such a skewed partisan bias, you might even see what others see occaisonally. *GASP*

explain to us why all of our NATO allies' people overwhelmingly support kerry over bush?

''Among Washington's traditional NATO allies, Kerry was strongly preferred over Bush. The biggest margin was found in Norway -- 74-7 percent; in Germany, its was 74-10 percent; in France 64-5 percent; the Netherlands, 63-6 percent; Italy (whose prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, has been a staunch Bush advocate), 58-14 percent; Spain, 45-7 percent; and Britain, 47-16 percent.. ''

''In Canada, Kerry was preferred by 61 percent to 16 percent, and in Japan, the margin was a closer 43 percent to 23 percent. In traditionally neutral Sweden, the margin was 58 percent to ten percent.''

'' Brazil (57-14 percent) and the Dominican Republic (51-38 percent). In the rest, he scored strong pluralities, including Venezuela (48-22 percent), Colombia (47-26 percent), Argentina (43-6 percent); Mexico (38-18 percent), Uruguay (37-5 percent), and Bolivia (25-16 percent).''

''The strongest negative views of U.S. foreign policy under Bush were found in Germany, where 83 percent of respondents said their image of Washington's role in the world had gotten worse. Others with similar perceptions included France (81 percent); Mexico (78 percent); China (72 percent); Canada and the Netherlands (71 percent); Spain (67 percent); Brazil and Italy (66 percent); Argentina (65 percent); and Britain (64 percent).''

i'm beginning to think that everyone here KNOWS that bush bushitted on all of these campaign promises, and no one has the balls to admit it.

instead, assassinate away my character, kerry's character, and totally avoid the topic. mad props, big ups and all that.

and we should be weighing the world opinion for what reason? The European press is a mouthpiece, no! the source of voice for the UN. We should abdicate our security to them for what reason? (btw, there is no argument you can give that will convince me that we should).

but it's a great reason to vote for him again?

by your logic, we should go for anyone who can lose a lot of jobs, start more wars, alienate us in the international community, and increase the deficit?

sorry, i sure as hell am NOT voting for that kind of FAILURE.

i should have you bushies write my next PA! i would be considered for CEO!

since you REFUSE to debate any points from the site, i will assume you AGREE that bush has come up short or flat out contradicted himself. thank you for agreeing, even though you are apparently not strong enough to admit it.
(ashamed?) i'm guessing.

gee, i guess world opinion doesn't matter. we can do that whole iraq thing alone. let's hope you don't know anybody 18-26.

That is a wildly spurious and illogical assumption. Are you eating peyote?

But it's not a lie. That's what you were retardedly asserting. Don't change the subject, nitwitless.

Spilly, your 'site' is a conglomeration of sites. Give me a topic and I'll try to answer.

He's delirious right now. He's all over the map.

Spilly, is your brain cracking in half trying to convince itself of it's own rhetoric. Don't you hate it when that happens? Take a 'lude.

You know I thought about responding to this moron spill-something, but I tried this instead.... :bang3: ...and have found it much more enjoyable.

I guess announcing yourself the victor just because people opt not to respond to your crap is preferable to actually using logic to win an argument, eh? I bet that's how you think. Quit being such a titty twister, Henrietta.

awesome! at least you have the decency to not even bother posting insults, and at least give a shot at a topic.

since we already talked about the economy, and EVERYONE AGREES BUSH HAS FALLEN SHORT ON HIS PROJECTIONS, let's move on to something else.

how about education? since people don't seem to believe biotech jobs will go the same way IT jobs did to southeast asia... because bush has religion getting in the way of research... A LITTLE REMINDER TO ALL WHO OPPOSE STEM CELL RESEARCH:

YOU CAN GET STEM CELLS FROM THE PLACENTA! YOU DON'T HAVE TO ABORT ANY CHILDREN TO DO SO! WHAT IS WRONG WITH KEEPING YOUR CHILD'S STEM CELLS IF THEY EVER NEED AN ORGAN IN THE FUTURE?

enough of my rant. how about bush's NCLB (no child left behind)?

Believe in local control of schools, not
control out of Washington

Schools should be given enough resources and authority

[Bush]: "...I believe in local control of schools..."

[Bush]: "...I believe education is a national
priority, but it's also a local responsibility. I want
to give schools -- I want to give schools the
resources and authority to chart their own path
to excellence. My opponent thinks Washington
knows best..."

the site argues that:

Through the Orwellian  No Child Left Behind (NCLB)
Act, Bush imposed Federal control over schools.
Additionally by underfunding NCLB he has
NOT given schools the resources
"to chart their own path to excellence".

As a result multiple states are either
challenging or opting out of NCLB.

yeah, i never find it easy admitting when i'm wrong. but i am not above it.

more insults, again. you guys are making those middle school kids look good!

"Short on projections" is not failure in my book. The economy is coming along nicely, despite your partisan lies and spin. So don't award yourself those point quite yet, Percy.

And on education, you're just mad that bush demands results. You libs DESIRE an uneducated populace, so they will be unable to fend for themselves, and thus be teat addicted little socialist voters. Does that sound right to you? It does to me, Alphonsia.

not sure if percy is an insult. but if not, you made it through a post without trying to belittle me! good job!

going from the largest SURPLUS to the largest DEFICIT EVER*is* a failure in my book. we can agree to disagree on that, and i respect that.

and i'm not awarding myself for anything. i don't post here because i want to feel better than others. i post because i really wonder who still supports bush and WHY? :wtf:

Spill--

The site you linked to has numerous points which prove that Bush, like Kerry, is a flip-flopper. Then again, they're both politicians, and I challenge everyone to find one politician who has never once flip-flopped on anything. You have to appease lobbyists, you have to fall in line with your party, and sometimes you just change your mind.

That being said, Kathianne and RW, the man's asked you to respond to the plethra of data he's provided for you, and as far as I can tell you've deigned to respond because his data is 'crap' and he's gone over the deep end and you can't argue with a liberal, etc. etc. etc. All these things get said over and over again-- they're valid when a liberal is flaming, trolling (happens a lot on conservative web boards so you've probably developed a reflex response to dealing with them which you've relied on here re: spillmind), or just wrong.

What I don't understand is your partisan stubborness to admit that Bush is a flip-flopper too. The data that Spill has provided explicitly states it a number of times. You can disagree that Bush's flip-flops are as important as Kerry's; you can assert that Kerry does it willfully just to appeal to the pollsters whereas Bush does it for different, more altruistic reasons. But to stubbornly dismiss the assertion that Bush is a flip-flopper TOO (many libs, self included, accept that Kerry is a flip-flopper on some issues but still think he's a better option than Bush) is to be so partisan that it becomes impossible to have a discussion.

Spill-- do you agree that Kerry flip-flops as well, if not as frequently or as blatantly as Dubya?

ok, i'm beginning to feel like these names aren't meant out of respect. i'll just leave it at that. it is what it is.

LIBS DO NOT DESIRE AN UNEDUCATED POPULACE.

i'd like you to prove this, or you're going to look like a heavily bias LIAR to everyone on the board.

just face the facts that bush's education plan is yet ANOTHER failure. ask Kathianne how many new teachers have been hired in the past four years? are all the needs of the children being met? honesty is appreciated, and i know it's different for many states.... but i've made my point with FACTUAL backup. now it's your turn.

 finally, a voice of reason!

i will agree that all politicians flip flop like crazy, and i don't understand how those who support bush have tried to call the kettle black.

and yes! you are very correct to state that 'Kerry flip-flops as well, if not as frequently or as blatantly as Dubya?' ...a point very well made. i personally believe it is the nature of american politics.

While I believe the 'standards' of NCLB are laudable, the implementation includes special ed kids incorporated into the totals. This is unfair on several levels, not educationally sound method of measurement; especially for low number enrollment schools; Not a realistic 'snapshot' of whether or not a school is moving up or down academically; penalizes schools that keep student at 'home' school, as opposed to 'special' school.

As a result multiple states are either
challenging or opting out of NCLB.

Is hiring teachers the litmus test of educational success? Oh yeah. It is if you consider it just a jobs program for libs.
