I bought some just to have. You never know when you may need a fast acting way to stop bleeding. So, anyone use it, or do I have to slice arm open to find out?

Yes, it works. I keeps a few packs of it around the house, in the garage, my chest rig, and in the medical bag I carry in the car. It's the same thing as QuikCLot. My wife cut herself a few months ago, and it stopped the bleeding pretty fast.

Some locations have the same product with Mike Lindell's or Lou Ferrigno's picture on the front.

When I was a Battalion advisor in an ARVN unit, each platoon medic had a lot of the stuff mentioned above. If we had a firefight near a village or a hut, the medic would send troops into a hut and scoop up handfuls of spider webs that would be taped onto wounds. so they could be medevaced. I got a big cut on my nose and cheek by glass shards when a soldier threw a grenade into a hut I was checking. The medic taped a wad of spider web on my face and we went back to the garrison 3 days later. The American doctor said "I don't know WTF is in the web but you didn't even get an infection and it works.'' He didn't know about native home remedies.

I do have military quikclot powder in my SHTF medical bag.
Paid $800 bucks and then some on stuff the bag didnt contain.
I have morphine,sutures,staples and gun and a host of other emergency items.
What I'm looking for now is injectable lidocaine for sewing up big gashes.
I figure if it gets any worse than that your probably gonna die anyway.
