First thing first work on that illegal substance

Here's the thing that you are missing. When guns are used to kill people, it's usually someone else other than the victim doing the shooting. In cases of heroin overdoses, nobody other than the person overdosing stuck the needle in their arm.

You might have had a point if all the deaths were suicides instead of murders.
