Anti-gunners...how do you respond to 2 1/2 hour response time for 911 calls for New Orleans police?

I am interested in hearing their response......in this democrat party controlled city, the response times for a 911 call......about 2 1/2 hours...

It is one of the most startling crime stats to emerge in recent months: It takes New Orleans police an average of 2½ hours to respond to a 9-1-1 call, according to a new analysis presented to the City Council on Wednesday.

The problem is that what can start as a low-priority call can become a high-priority call pretty quickly. And, of course, if you’ve already been marked down as low-priority, no one is coming faster unless you can make yet another call to 9-1-1.

The problem is that the New Orleans Police Department is having a manpower problem. They simply don’t have enough officers on the job to put them on the streets.

It doesn’t help that funding for law enforcement was cut in 2021 to the tune of $15 million.

2 1/2 hour response time is way too long. What does that have to do with reasonable gun control?

Easy.....if the cops are taking that long to respond to calls....and you are facing a rapist, a robber, someone beating you or stabbing you......this is why you should own and carry a gun....to stop them...then, when the police arrive, they are just doing paperwork and taking the perp away to the jail, the hospital or the morgue...

This fails as a strawman fallacy – no one takes issue with citizens possessing firearms for lawful self-defense.

And no one is ‘anti-gun’; the notion is a ridiculous lie.

Preaching to the choir – again, no one takes issue with citizens possessing firearms for lawful self-defense.

I'm not anti-gun but I've addressed this before. Stop the cops from pulling people over for a broken tail light or because someone crossed a line and you have time to address actual issues.
Or start a program that promotes common sense gun ownership.
