Socialism: it works every time as planned!

The leaders become billionaires while the People starve.

Oh wait, you thought handing over your stuff and your life to Socialist Leaders was going to be BETTER for you?

As a lib/prog in the 21st century I am COMPLETELY OPPOSED to ANY and ALL forms of tyrannical/fascistic/anti-individual government. I STRONGLY OPPOSE extreme LEFT WING and extreme RIGHT WING ideologies and forms of government.

I believe in the freedom the individual to believe in god
or not
to own guns
or not
to smoke pot
or not
to be gay
or not
to drink alcohol, smoke tobacco, eat whoppers, have sex before marriage, have kids...

or not.

As a citizen of a group of citizens who collectively consider themselves "Americans" I understand that SOME of my money MUST BE TAKEN FROM ME to be used for the common good and defense; roads, schools, military, police, fire dept.,

Additionally if everyone thought taking a little bit more so that healthcare could be more affordable to EVERYONE I would be happy to oblige!

That's what I actually think.

Nothing in there to indicate that I am a FAR LEFT WING COMMY FASCSIST.

Just a regular guy who wants his freedom and doesn't mind paying for health care for EVERYONE(including conservatives with back problems and lung problems and leg and knee problems and heart disease and diabetes and cancer because he IRRESPONSIBLY smoked tobacco and ate fatty foods and refused to diet or exercise. You are welcome)

So if you could please stop calling me one and actually debate the issues that would be great!

BTW
If US democratic capitalism is so much better than COMMUNISM how do you explain China having the number 2 economy in the world?

I love it when the 'nice - I'm not crazy' democrats tell us socialism doesn't lead to authoritarianism. Your current overlords are already above the law, fixing elections, own the media, but everything is going to work out great.

The answer to China's economy is obvious. Billions of Chinese. I appreciate your tone and sincerity, but the people you elect have no problem with blatent out of control authoritarianism. I already listed their legal immunity, election fixing, and media control. They have been caught saying they want to completely disarm the people. They are banning words, ideas, speakers, and they have roving bands like Antifa and BLM spreading their lovliness. Whether climate change, global warming, or whatever they are calling it now is true or not, they have been caught using bad data and reports. Again, I'm not saying it isn't real, but politics has at least partially infected science. It is nice you don't believe in authoritarianism, but your representatives are already taking my straws, soft drinks, and forcing me to use crummy lightbulbs. What is next, a ban on ice cream or forcing people to have anal sex posters in every classroom?

Here it is in a nutshell. The dems want to give more power to people who are pushing drugs, tranny bathroom garbage, and importing people who are hostile to our culture in the name of 'multiculturalism.' Then they turn around and say, hey it wan't me. Let's just give the government more power and see what happens. I'll make a bet, people like Bernie will have many houses and cars, and everybody else gets poverty and enslavement. If it wasn't so sad, I'd think it was funny the socialist candidate was screwed by the democrat candidate.

The same people who are fine with massive government are the ones who are calling you stupid and wiping their butt with the American Flag. Since Kevin Hart said something the overlords don't approve of, is he now a racist who hates women?

The US history wh Cuba is shameful . Time to put things in the past a develop a real relationship. It’s a country right off our coast! We could be mutually beneficial to each other . Which would lead to more capitalism in Cuba.
The last group of people that wanted a better relationship with Cuba came back deaf.

Article the First, Section the Eighth, of our federal Constitution.

Our federal Constitution is Express, not Implied.

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises,

to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States;

but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

You also don't often make a coherent argument. You post random phrases that don't really relate to anything, then more phrases to explain yourself. Do you even know the difference between general and common and how they both apply to the Constitution?

Cuba is not a socialist country. It's an authoratarian dictatorship. There are no open or fair elections in Cuba and there haven't been fair and open elections since Castro came to power. The fact that the so-called "communist" leaders are billionaires shows that the economy is neither socialist nor communist. Any country where a class of people is allowed to accumulate more than their "needs", isn't communism. And any country where the ruling class of people accumulates great wealth, while infrastructure crumbles and poverty is rampant, isn't socialist.

Cuba is an authoritarian communist country. All communist countries were authoritarian.

It doesn't matter if the communist countries didn't devolve into some pure socialist paradise that checked all the boxes as articulated by Marx. People are people, not automatrons idealized by philosophers.

What matters is the primary order of organization that best resembles the ideals of the ideology.

And in that, communism was tried and failed. It should be relegated to the dustbins of history as a failed socioeconomic experiment.

A country cannot be authoritarian and communist at the same time. Communism is the antithesis of authoritarianism. Attempts at communism quickly devolved into authoritarianism in China, Russia and Cuba. Labelling a country "communist" or "socialist" is often a misnomer, and certainly authoritarianism and communism cannot exist within the same government. The moment there is an authoritarian elite, it defeats the whole premise of communism.

There are left wing authoritarians who provide for their people to keep popular support (the old "bread and circuses" of Roman times"), especially during times of brutal repression, and who paint those who criticize them or oppose them as "enemies of the people", as Stalin and Trump refer to the press. And right wing authoritarians like Duarte, who rule through fear and intimidation, and who steal the country blind (a frequently problem in countries ruled by strong men).

What of the dictatorship of the proletariat? The phase between revolution and the anarchy of true communism? Read Marx, Engels, Lenin, Po Ching.
