This one in Mississippi. A black Reagan appointee has now allowed the state of Mississippi to create a special state court only for Jackson.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A federal judge has ruled that he will allow Mississippi officials to move forward with creating a state-run court in part of the majority-Black capital city of Jackson, over objections from the NAACP.

Attorneys for the civil rights organization had sued on behalf of several Jackson residents, saying the new court undermines democracy because local voters or local elected officials won’t choose its judge or prosecutors.

These are the types that hinder progress in race relations.

Sounds like another over-reaction to a sound decision by a good judge.

Did you cheer when Thomas was confirmed?

Very shallow analysis.

You haven’t addressed why the NAACP opposed it. You haven’t addressed why it was ever even proposed. Chances are, you have no clue.

But you’re always willing to denigrate anyone for anything if it offends your petty notions of what is “good” for people of color.

Of course there are objections from the NAACP…. it is a wing of the Democrat Party.

Judge temporarily blocks new court in Mississippi’s majority-Black capital

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A federal appeals court has overrriden a lower judge’s ruling to deny a restraining order blocking the creation of the Capitol Complex Improvement District Court, at least until Friday.

On Sunday, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals granted an administrative stay blocking the CCID court from going into effect until noon on January 5.

Good.

So what appeal it that is how the process works. It still amazes me how so many on both the left and right think everything is supposed to go their way and they will always get what they want.

That’s how it works. An appeal with even a fair prospect of success often results in a temporary stay to keep the status quo in effect. It’s not a guarantee of how it will eventually all shake out.

The simple reality here is that Mississippi has no right to do this.

The simple reality is lots of things happen that shouldn't that is what the appeal process is for. Another simple reality is things don't always go your way adults understand this children in adult bodies don't.

I've seen a travel video of Jackson MS., wow, what a shithole. They have potholes so wide and deep that residents put garbage cans in them as a reminder to drivers, one guy planted a tree in one and the tree is still growing there.

You have a hard time understanding that when to government does something that you perceive hurts whites then you come with this simple minded comment to blacks. STHU.
