Nope. Catholic. At the time my Grandparents left Germany, the region they lived in was occupied by the French who were looting it to get reparations for World War I.

My grandfather briefly returned to Germany in 1930 (after he got his US Citizenship), and saw the country was going just a little nuts.

Anyone else find is odd when obviously old people say things like "girlfriend"? If you're not a teenager, it's time to let go of words like "girlfriend," "bully," and the like. It's like no one wants to grow up - ever - anymore.

I'm not sure what other term really applies, exactly.

Most people my age use the term "Girlfriend" or "boyfriend" to describe a person they are in a relationship with but not married to.
