Police identify officer-involved shooting suspect
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —An eight-year Albuquerque Police Department veteran was critically injured when a traffic stop that led to an altercation left him with multiple gunshot wounds, officials say.
The shooter was on the run for several hours, and police urged residents in the area of Central Avenue and Eubank Boulevard to stay inside during the pursuit.
Police said the shooter, 34-year-old Davon Lymon, is in custody.
The scene stretched from Central and Eubank to Moon and Copper during the search.
