This happens frequently...the government employees ripping off the programs they work for and tax payers pay for it. Note in the article,that one of these idiots was "given" a house by Habitat for Humanity. Wonder how many other programs these dorks have ripped off. Nice to know you don't mind your tax dollars being ripped off constantly,in these two cases alone.. to the tune of $600,000.00.

Officials in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office are preparing to arrest employees of the county's in-home care program involved in more than 700 cases of alleged fraud, it was reported Saturday.

Baker said officials in the Department of Public Social Services are re-examining the whole in-home care program and protocols.

They have started an internal review of all IHSS and DPSS employees(involved)," he told the Daily News.

The number of county residents receiving in-home care has doubled to 174,000 in the past decade, and the $1.6 billion program is now rife with fraud, officials report.

Diane Gamble, 60, of Watervliet, told investigators she's been on and off Medicaid for nine years and has been "misrepresenting" her income from New York state in letters to her case worker sent under the letterhead of Assemblyman Jose Rivera, a Bronx Democrat, court papers said.

Gamble, who was arrested Thursday, not only failed to report all her earnings - but admitted she didn't report a 2000 Mercedes SUV, 2005 Volvo and 1990 Oldsmobile registered with the state Department of Motor Vehicles, court papers said.
