It now goes back to the Texas House for another vote before it can go to Governor Greg Abbott for his approval and signature. ---------------------------- UPDATE: In a 19-12 vote, Texas Senators added an amendment to the open carry bill that would ban police from detaining a person who is openly carrying a handgun just to check if they have a license.
