Pulitzer prize winning journalist Patsy Dumcluck recently interviewed a top Democrat party strategist who insisted on remaining anonymous:

Patsy Dumcluck: Not counting Hillary Clinton’s nominating machinery is there a danger possible Democrat candidates will damage their chances by campaigning for president 34 months from the election?

Democrat Strategist: It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, for the few, and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity. We have to build a political consensus and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own turf in order to create this common ground.

Patsy Dumcluck: Are you saying it’s not too early?

Democrat Strategist: Nothing is so unbelievable that oratory cannot make it acceptable.

Patsy Dumcluck: If you could personally pick your party’s candidate today why would you choose Hillary Clinton?

Democrat Strategist: That would be so exciting.

Patsy Dumcluck: Democrats and Republicans will debate “safe” issues to no avail. How do you suggest your eventual nominee handle Tea Party candidates?

Democrat Strategist: What we have to do... is to find a way to celebrate our diversity and debate our differences without fracturing our communities.

Patsy Dumcluck: How does that position square with Senator Schumer’s recently announced plans for destroying the Tea Party?

Democrat Strategist: I don't think that strategically it is smart to begin cutting your options when the other side does not move at all.

Patsy Dumcluck: So you agree with Senator Schumer?

Democrat Strategist: The leader of genius must have the ability to make different opponents appear as if they belonged to one category.

Patsy Dumcluck: With all due respect let me ask it this way. The Tea Party wants smaller government. Your party is the party of big government. How can your candidate make the two appear to belong to one category?

Democrat Strategist: The great strength of the totalitarian state is that it forces those who fear it to imitate it.

Patsy Dumcluck: Now that’s really confusing. Are you saying your candidate will only pretend to work with Tea Party conservatives?

Democrat Strategist: A verbal contract isn't worth the paper it's written on. It is not truth that matters, but victory.

Patsy Dumcluck: Now that you’ve cleared that up let’s move on to America’s sovereignty. Will your party defend sovereignty above all else?

Democrat Strategist: It seems to many of us that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace. To do that, of course, we Americans will have to yield up some of our sovereignty. That would be a bitter pill. It would take a lot of courage, a lot of faith in the new order.

Patsy Dumcluck: What political philosophy must your party adopt to convince a vast majority of Americans that surrendering their sovereign is in their best interests?

Democrat Strategist: What is permissible is not always honorable.

Patsy Dumcluck: Your party has worked tirelessly to abolish the Second Amendment. Will your next president continue the fight even though most Americans support the Second Amendment?

Democrat Strategist: To conquer a nation, first disarm its citizens.

Patsy Dumcluck: Does that mean the Second Amendment is meaningless for law-abiding Americans?

Democrat Strategist: We don't let them have ideas. Why would we let them have guns?

Patsy Dumcluck: Your party is committed to instituting democracy at home and abroad. Democracy has been discredited time and time again by philosophers and political thinkers for thousands of years. The question is why are Democrats still trying?

Democrat Strategist: Democracy is the road to socialism.

Patsy Dumcluck: Is that the only reason your party advocates democracy?

Democrat Strategist: Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.

Patsy Dumcluck: My final question. If elected, would your party’s president veto a bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act?

Democrat Strategist: The Affordable Care Act is here to stay.
