Depending on how the next coupla years go, it could be that many voters won't want a Trump guy in the Oval Office even if it ain't Trump. The Dems will paint Vance or whoever the GOP nominee is as effectively a Trump 3.0 president. I think his act is wearing a bit thin with too many people, I hear his approval rating is around 30% or lower. Maybe he rebounds but maybe he doesn't. Not that I want a dem in the WH, cuz I don't but it might happen.
