An FBI Agent with a nose ring who can barely speak coherent English sentences told the media that a terrorist driving a truck with an ISIS flag ...

OMG he ran over or into 45 + people, fired on LEO and had IEDs.

But nooo it's not terrorism

Here’s the latest on the attack.

Federal investigators were seeking possible connections between terrorist groups and the 42-year-old Texas man who rammed a pickup into New Year’s revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans early Wednesday, killing at least 10 people and injuring dozens more.

The attack raised concerns about the city’s security precautions, which failed to stop the driver, and forced officials to postpone the Sugar Bowl until Thursday.

The suspect, a U.S. Army veteran who died in a shootout with police officers, was identified by the F.B.I. as Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar, a U.S. citizen. The truck carried an Islamic State flag, weapons and a “potential” improvised explosive, the agency said, adding that other potential bombs were also found in the French Quarter.
Here’s what else to know:
  • The attack: The man drove the truck, which he had rented, according to officials, at a high speed into crowds around 3:15 a.m. before crashing and then opening fire, exchanging fire with three police officers, said Anne Kirkpatrick, the New Orleans Police superintendent. Two officers were injured in the gunfight, but will be OK, she added.
  • The investigation: Officials do not believe that the suspect was “solely responsible” for the attack, said Alethea Duncan, an assistant special agent for the F.B.I. in New Orleans. She urged anyone who has had contact with the suspect in the last 72 hours to reach out to law enforcement. “We’re aggressively running down every lead, including those of his known associates,” she said. Here’s what is known about the lifelong Texas resident.
  • Security questions: New Orleans has been upgrading security bollards along a section of Bourbon Street in the area of the attack. The project involved replacing old bollards — barriers designed to protect pedestrians and property from vehicles — with removable stainless-steel ones. It is unclear if any bollards were in place during the attack.
  • Terrorist act: Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said that the F.B.I., the A.T.F., prosecutors with the National Security Division and the local federal prosecutor’s office were all working on the case, treating the attack as an act of terrorism. Officials said they were trying to determine if the improvised explosives found in the truck were viable.
  • Location: The attack happened near Canal and Bourbon Streets during raucous celebrations in the city’s French Quarter, hours before Notre Dame and the University of Georgia were scheduled to play in the Sugar Bowl at the city’s Superdome. Officials said on Wednesday afternoon that they would postpone the game for 24 hours. Read more about the French Quarter’s importance to New Orleans.

Nope.

I have said all along Possible is not probable is not factual.

Investigations will determine the facts. Your emotions and hysteria will not

If you say so. Your problem is you can't define terrorism. Any faction can commit terrorism, you're trying to squeak by because Islam is involved

Huh?

I have no issue with or against Islam.

If some nutjob kills in the name of Islam I would not condemn everyone who adheres to Islam. Not sure why you would or do.

I do not seek to shield anyone or anything from criminal acts. I am not a supporter of sexual predators and convicted felons being elected.

As with the guy who shot the healthcare insurer, I will state -- it will all be revealed. People will be held to account on this one.

We don't need speculation feeding fear and paranoia. What we need to do is stick with proven facts

Terror cell?

A group of people acting in unison? I believe calling such inepts a 'terror cell' would be what failures would celebrate being called. All the IED's and not one goes off?
