When the poster is trying to compare the “peaceful democrats” vs “violent republicans”, I think some clarity is in order.

yeah, this is emotional overspill from 2016...trump took their queen, now they have to make believe they are doing something about a king, the irony is the extremes of the entire exercise which is them claiming to prove trump is president.

How did it end? They failed to stop the certification of the election and Joe Biden was confirmed as President.
Later on over 1000 of them were arrested by the FBI and charged with various crimes, mostly involved with beating police officers and destruction of property. Hundreds of them were in prison for their crimes, until Trump pardoned all of them.
Many of the protestors have since been re-arrested for other crimes. Some foolishly thought the Presidential pardon applied to all crimes, past or future, and went about plotting revenge against the FBI who arrested them.

Officer Fanone didn't die from the beating he got, but he did have a heart attack.
There is no video of Officer Sicknick being beaten. He suffered a series of strokes from being beaten with flags, and died the next day.
We don't use videos of people being murdered here.
