Let's not forget Hattie McDaniel (June 10, 1895 – October 26, 1952), who was an American actress, singer-songwriter, and comedienne. For her role as Mammy in Gone with the Wind (1939), she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, becoming the first African American to win an Oscar.

Lol, when I was a very young man the package showed her sitting on her legs with her knees showing. There was a way to fold the package so it looked like she was showing her naked tits. I don’t think it’s racist to say that it was white people who ended slavery.

That’s like saying it’s sexist to say men granted women the right to vote.

Slavery and the denial of woman’s suffrage never should have happened, but the fact remains that, by definition, it was the ruling authorities that eventually ended them.

Black people didn’t emancipate themselves and there were no women in congress when they were granted the vote.
