For decades, we've all seen the signs of our infrastructure failing us...from bridges that are collapsing to levies failing us and time after time after time, we've allowed the budget protecting GOP-igs to sweep this issue under the rug. Yet we have no qualms in issuing the DOD a blank check to fight wars that clearly we're losing....3 trillion thus far and we have nothing, absolutely nothing to show for it....but more blank checks to be given. My GOP state has more pot holes than actually citizens, while it focuses on keeping rich white motherfuckers happy. The Obama administration has tried tirelessly to intro bills to address this issue, promising job after job after job to the whiners who vote in GOP leadership to squash ideas....so we suffer.

Once again, this country will rule the day, with its constant support of GOP nay sayers, when all our failing infrastructure turn on us and it will someday, it will. Its just a matter of time.

Gee, that trillion bucks blown on Obungles failed stimulus sure looks good now, eh? Think of the job creation

Fact: that bill was watered down so much, it came no where near a trillion, it was far less. You can once again thank the GOP igs.....also note that because Bush had left states so cash strapped, most of the money used was to balance budget and do small projects around counties and cities....another fact. So before you go off on your FOX bs...get with facts first and you'll feel better!!

You lying changes nothing, one trillion bucks blown on BS. Get informed and then comment. You keep stepping in your own pile. Which reminds me, remember when you were whining about deregulation causing the warehouse fire and it was pointed out it was caused by a house fire that spread? Remember you said you would leave the forum if that was true? There were numerous links posted stating that is exactly what happened, a house fire spread.

Why are you still here?

The stimulus could have done more good had it been bigger and more carefully constructed. But put simply, it prevented a second recession that could have turned into a depression. It created or saved an average of 1.6 million jobs a year for four years. (There are the jobs, Mr. Boehner.) It raised the nation’s economic output by 2 to 3 percent from 2009 to 2011. It prevented a significant increase in poverty — without it, 5.3 million additional people would have become poor in 2010.

And yet Republicans were successful in discrediting the very idea that federal spending can boost the economy and raise employment. They made the argument that the stimulus was a failure not just to ensure that Mr. Obama would get no credit for the recovery that did occur, but to justify their obstruction of all further attempts at stimulus.

So the American Jobs Act was killed, and so was the infrastructure bankand any number of other spending proposals that might have helped the country. The president’s plan to spend another $56 billion on job training, education and energy efficiency, to be unveiled in his budget next month, will almost certainly suffer a similar fate.

As for the dereg. comment...you think I believe the reports coming from Texas? Really????? Listen mop brains, if you don't like what I say, what I comment on, by all means beyatch....stop stalking me.

A majority of the money was shifted to "women's studies" because Obama said shovel ready was to white and to male.

"
According to Recovery.gov, the President’s own website which accounts for the stimulus funding (ahem), of the first $787 billion stimulus bill, a full $275 billion has gone un-spent as of August 27, 2010. And of the $512 billion of stimulus already spent, only $18.5 billion (less than seven percent) has been paid out by the Department of Transportation on these “shovel ready” jobs.

Let me repeat that: less than seven percent has gone for the promised transportation infrastructure.

Scandal: Less than 7% of Trillion-Dollar 'Stimulus' Spent on Infrastructure | Human Events

Less than 7 cents on the dollar. FRAUD is all you can call that.

The Government has already spent over $19 trillion that it doesn't have.

Let's see, dams were no problem seven years ago when democrats controlled the federal government but now that the GOP is poised to win the whole enchelada all of a sudden dams are crumbling. How did it get to be a current event anyway?

For the last and final time......President Obama sadly has been and continues to be stradled with both houses that refuse to work with him.....when he ventures on his own, you guys attack, when he patiently waits on both houses to help, you get pissed....the guy ain't God!!

Let me get this straight, I've been busted and now I should what? Not only should you get over yourself, you should note carefully, mop head.....you and the other haters here, do nothing but motivate me...so keep up the good work, beyatches!! And just for the record, since when do I give a fuck about you?

Not only is the country sick of GOP leadership in Washington, having Trump occupy the white house is your answer to all this shit? (sigh), there are none so blind and ignorant as a GOP conservative....keep dreaming.

Obama and the Democrats fixed this with the stimulus package, so I'm not sure what the OP is talking about. He must be living in some alternative reality where Obama and the Democrats didn't really do what they promised to do, and didn't really spend money the way they promised to spend it. But we all know this is pure fantasy!!! Obama and the Democrats can be trusted!!!
